Dahsyatnya gempa 7,9 SR yang mengguncang Sumbar dua tahun silam seketika menyeruak. Rona kesedihan memancar pada saat detik-detik peringatan dua tahun gempa Sumbar di Padang dan Padangpariaman, dua daerah terparah diguncang gempa pada 30 September 2009.
Suasana mengharu biru tatkala Qurata Ayuna, 15, dengan kursi roda menghadiri peringatan dua tahun gempa di Monumen Gempa, Jalan Gereja, Taman Melati, Jumat (30/9). Siswi SMPN 8 Padang itu melempar senyum ketika Wali Kota Padang Fauzi Bahar datang menghampirinya. Dia tampak ingin menunjukkan pada dunia bahwa orang Sumbar bermental baja meski babak belur dihoyak gempa dua tahun silam.
Ketegaran Qurata mengundang haru warga Padang yang menghadiri detik-detik peringatan gempa 30 September, pukul 17.16 WIB. Melihat ketegaran Qurata, membuat warga Padang yang hadir dalam peringatan itu, tak kuasa menahan linangan air mata.
Qurata adalah salah satu siswa yang tertimbun di reruntuhan gedung lembaga bimbingan belajar Gama, Jalan Proklamasi, Padang. Gadis belia ini selamat, tapi kakinya terpaksa diamputasi sehingga harus memakai kursi roda.
Di Padangpariaman, kesedihan pecah ketika zikir bersama dihadiri ratusan warga bertempat di lokasi penampungan korban gempa Lubuak Laweh, satu dari tiga korong (dusun) yang tertimbun longsor usai gempa 30 September.
Jangan Terus Larut
Gempa besar itu telah merenggut ribuan nyawa dan memporakporandakan ratusan ribu tempat tinggal. Tapi, bukan berarti masyarakat terus menerus larut dalam kesedihan. Masyarakat harus bergerak menatap masa depan lebih baik dengan penuh semangat, dan optimistis serta memacu pertumbuhan ekonomi.

Anas memuji pembangunan Padang dalam kunjungannya selama dua hari di ibu kota Sumbar ini. Korban tewas terbanyak di Kabupaten Padang-pariaman dengan jumlah 666 orang, disusul Kota Padang 383 orang, Kabupaten Agam 81 orang, Kota Pariaman 48 orang, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan 9 orang dan Pasaman Barat 5 orang.
Korban luka berat 619 orang, luka ringan 1.179 orang dan mengungsi sebanyak 6.554 orang. Sedangkan yang hilang sebanyak 2 orang di Kota Padang dan 192 orang hilang dan tertimbun di tiga korong (dusun) di Padangpariaman. Total kerugian material akibat gempa 30 September 2009 diperkirakan mencapai Rp4.8 triliun.
Data Pusdalops PB Sumbar, hingga tutup masa tanggap darurat 31 Oktober 2009, tercatat total korban tewas pasca gempa 7,9 SR sebanyak 1.195 orang. Korban tewas terbanyak di Kabupaten Padang-pariaman dengan jumlah 666 orang, disusul Kota Padang 383 orang, Kabupaten Agam 81 orang, Kota Pariaman 48 orang, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan 9 orang dan Pasaman Barat 5 orang.

Tetap Waspada
Wakil Gubernur Sumbar Muslim Kasim yang juga menghadiri peringatan dua tahun gempa di Padang menyebutkan, kerugian Sumbar mencapai Rp6,3 triliun akibat gempa dua tahun lalu. Meski begitu, mantan Bupati Padangpariaman tersebut mengapresiasi upaya berbagai pihak yang sudah kembali menghidupkan perekonomian Sumbar.
”Sekarang ini kita tergolong berhasil menangani bencana. Jadi yang perlu kita lakukan adalah tetap waspada, bersahabat dengan gempa. Mari kita tuntaskan bengkalai yang tersisa hingga 2013,” ujarnya yang ikut meletakkan karangan bunga di Monumen Gempa.
